In a momentous move for both nations, Antigua and Barbuda has secured visa-free travel for its citizens to China, while St. Kitts & Nevis has achieved the same with Kazakhstan.

These developments signal strengthened ties and enhanced travel opportunities for citizens of both island nations.

 

Antigua and Barbuda visa free to China:

History was made during Antigua and Barbuda\’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne\’s visit to China from January 22nd to 28th, 2024.

During this trip, a landmark visa waiver agreement was signed, allowing citizens of both countries to travel visa-free.

This agreement represents a significant milestone in the relationship between the two nations and paves the way for increased collaboration in various areas like health, education, development, investment, and tourism.

 

St. Kitts & Nevis Adds Kazakhstan to Visa-Free List

Meanwhile, St. Kitts & Nevis also celebrated a diplomatic victory on January 26th, 2024. Their Permanent Representative to the UN, Mutryce Williams, signed an agreement with Kazakhstan\’s Permanent Representative, Akan Rakhmetullin, eliminating visa requirements for passport holders of both countries.

This agreement allows visa-free entry for up to 90 days, making travel between the two nations smoother and more accessible. With this achievement, St. Kitts & Nevis became the 40th country where Kazakh citizens can enjoy visa-free access.

These significant developments mark a positive step forward for both Caribbean countries, opening doors to enhanced cultural exchange, tourism, and business opportunities. It also highlights their growing diplomatic engagements on the global stage.
