As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to scale exponentially, governments across the globe are taking safety and protection measures in an effort to slowdown the spread and flatten the infection curve. And the Citizenship by Investment Units of most of the countries are joining in on these measures.

Here’s how the governments are adapting to continue to ensure smooth processing of citizenship by investment applications during the current situation.

Citizenship by investment applications will continue to be processed digitally

In an effort to halt down the spread of COVID 19 and to keep their staff and communities safe, CBI units have closed down their offices and are working remotely on the processing of the CBI applications. The processing of applications will continue to be done as usual, in a smooth and time efficient manner. Due diligence and approvals are also being carried out as normal.

Staff are available online
Despite imposed curfews and physical offices’ closures, all CBI units’ staff will be available to respond and address any concerns/queries as per usual. Communication with the CBI units’ staff will carry on via email and phone.

Online payment gateway portal
Additionally, some governments are working on soon introducing online payment gateway portals to facilitate payments electronically through credit cards for application fees, which will further expedite the process.
