The Government of Dominica has announced the suspension of processing all new applications for citizenship by investment (CBI) from Yemeni nationals, effective January 19, 2024.This decision affects individuals interested in Yemen citizenship by investment programs.
“This measure is geared at safeguarding the Global Community and the integrity of Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment Program,” the CBIU stated in its message to authorized agents.
The suspension applies to all new applications from Yemeni nationals submitted after January 19th.
Dominica\’s CBI program is one of the oldest and most respected in the world, known for its relatively low investment threshold and fast processing times.
Dominica’s citizenship by investment program was established in 1993 to help the country strengthen its economy. It has allowed the government to increase its direct investments in areas such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and infrastructure.
To obtain Dominica citizenship and passport through investment, applicants must undergo strict due diligence checks, including mandatory interviews for primary applicants and all dependents aged 16 and above. The investment must be made in one of the following options:
– A non-refundable contribution to the Economic Diversification Fund
– Purchase of real estate in a government-approved project in addition to payment of applicable government fees.
