The Ministry of National Security, Citizenship and Immigration, in partnership with the Citizenship By Investment Unit, announced the launch of the National Biometric Enrolment and St. Kitts and Nevis Passport Modernization Program.
The program, as per the announcement, reflects a global shift toward biometric-enabled travel documents—now standard across leading jurisdictions including the European Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

The program will officially launch on 14 April 2026.
Each St. Kitts and Nevis passport issued through the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program prior to this date will remain valid during a transition period ending 31 July 2027, after which they will no longer be accepted for international travel.
Citizens are strongly encouraged to complete biometric enrolment well in advance of this deadline to ensure seamless transition to the upgraded passport.

How the St. Kitts and Nevis Passport Program Works
Biometric enrolment for St. Kitts and Nevis passport will be conducted exclusively through the official Government Biometric Enrolment Platform, which serves as the sole authorized channel for processing. Enrolment through any other platform or third-party provider is strictly prohibited.
The process for the biometric enrolment for St. Kitts and Nevis passport consists of three simple steps:
1. Register on the official government platform and submit an enrolment application.
2. Schedule an appointment at an approved biometric collection center.
3. Attend the appointment, where standard biometric data will be collected, including fingerprints, a digital facial image, and, where applicable, an iris scan. Appointments typically take 15–30 minutes.
All biometric data will be securely stored in encrypted systems in full compliance with international data protection standards and in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements. Access is strictly limited to authorized personnel for legitimate identity verification and border security purposes.
Key Information for St. Kitts and Nevis Passport New Updates
– This program does not affect citizenship status. It is St. Kitts and Nevis passport modernization initiative designed to protect citizens, strengthen the value and credibility of the St. Kitts and Nevis passport and align with international best practice.
– All citizens who obtained citizenship by way of applications made through the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program are required to complete biometric enrolment before 31 July 2027. All dependents, including children, must complete enrolment in accordance with age-appropriate international standards.
– Native-born and other citizens holding St. Kitts and Nevis passport are encouraged to complete biometric enrolment, but are not subject to the 31 July 2027 deadline.
Investment Options For St. Kitts and Nevis Passport
1. Sustainable Island State Contribution (SISC) — Donation Option
A non‑refundable contribution to the Sustainable Island State Contribution fund starting from USD 250,000.
2. Government‑Approved Real Estate Investment
Citizenship can be obtained by purchasing property in government‑approved developments with a minimum of USD 325,000.
The property must remain held for the 7 years before it can be resold.
3. Private Home Sale Investment Option
Purchase a private home for citizenship qualification, with a minimum of USD 325,000.
This option allows investors to choose residential property rather than development projects.
4. Public Benefit Option
Contribute to a government‑approved public benefit project, starting from USD 250,000
